The New York Auto Show is about to get underway, and the automakers are jockeying for front positions in the media battle. At first glance, a 2013 model year Venza might not seem all that important, but the model has been doing well for Toyota in the US and Canada.
The 2013 car is sportier than before, thanks to a facelift that has brought a redesigned grille, headlights and updated fog lights. Toyota has also added new wheels and side mirrors with integrated turn signals.
Inside, the big news is the introduction of the Enture infotainment system, which is an optional extra. Toyota has also made sure to offer more luxury than before, as power adjustable seats and dual-zone climate control are both standard features.
Under the hood of the 2012 Venza, we find a choice of two engines. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder produces 181 hp and 182 lb-ft (246 Nm) of torque, while the 3.5-liter V6 offers 268 hp and 246 lb-ft (333 Nm) of torque. Both are mated to the same six-speed automatic transmission, while AWD is an optional extra.
