New Range Rover Sport edition 2012 : even more refined Model Year 2012 for the beloved SUV English, more elegant and eye for detail. A new motorized door, offered in most markets on the MY 2012 range, allows the driver to adjust as desired lift height. For the first time on the Range Rover Sport, the touch screen 7 “is available with the Dual View, which allows the driver and passenger to follow the same screen simultaneously on different content. Even the entertainment for the second row of seats has been the subject of improvements, with the adoption of wireless technology WhiteFireTM.
The 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine icon Range Rover Sport, for MY 2012, even more efficient and have lower values in consumption and emissions of CO ₂. The more powerful 3.0 now delivers 255 hp, with CO2 emissions drop from 243 to 230 g / km, even the entry level 211 hp engine with CO2 emissions reduced significantly – from 243 to 224 g / km – thanks to Injection low flow conditions.
These improvements are partly due to the new automatic transmission 8HP70 ZF 8-speed, high efficiency, characterized by tenderness in gear changes and reduced fuel consumption.
The combined 211 hp engine is now 8.5 l/100 km and 8.8 l/100 km for the 255 hp. Coupled with the new 8-speed transmission of the Range Rover Sport are the new rotary transmission and steering wheel-mounted paddle shift. The popular 5.0-V8 Supercharged LR remains unchanged in MY 2012, its unique qualities of power and refinement. All models are equipped with Euro 5 particulate filter (DPF) and the engines are distinguished as “clean” market.
Significant improvements were also made to sound systems and Premium Hi-ICE technologies which use the MOST gen 2.1, with the premium Harman Kardon Logic 7, which boasts 825 watts and 17 speakers. The new voice control system ‘Say What You See’, present in the Premium systems, helps the driver to remember the commands as suggesting screen and also enabling the use of abbreviated speech codes.
